  Introduction
 

Q-Panel Type III System is a lightweight, durable and energy efficient Q-Panel Type III system that is easily adapted to current and old substrates to give the façade a whole new outlook and facelift. With pre-engineered structures, the Q-Panel Type III System is architecturally more versatile, easy to install and aesthetically more pleasing as compared to other Q-Panel Type III systems available. Using EPS (Expanded Polystyrene System) panels further advantages including having the panels carved or molded into different shapes and sizes prior to installations. Furthermore, depending on the thickness specified for the EPS, better insulation values are achieved versus conventional systems as well as sound transmissions.

  Process in fabricating and installing Q-Panel Type III System
Depending on job specification, either Steel or Timber studs are cladded with 40mm thick F-Grade (Fire retardant) EPS panels providing a monolithic Q-Panel Type III.
The EPS panels (1.2m x Full wall height) are fixed vertically to the stud frames using 3.1 gauge x .75mm galvanized flat heads
Self driving screw respectively through washers at
~400mm centers for Wind loads up to W51
~300mm centers for wind loads of W60C (Cyclonic Conditions).
EPS panels are plastered with QSTSolutions PolyBond Plus coating to a thickness of 33mm.
QSTSolutions Alkaline Resistant Mesh is placed while the coat is wet.
Excess coating that comes through the mesh is trowelled* flat.
Final coating is applied onto the surface with a final thickness of no more than 6mm.
  * The entire coating process may be trowelled by hand or sprayed through a Hopper Gun.

A specially formulated latex polymer, fiber-reinforced product. Designed to mix with Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) to provide a high-build, easy to trowel adhesive, base, texture or rectification.
