Technology Based Product QST Tuf Skim

  Tuf-Skim (Base Coat - Internal)

Tuf-Skim (Base Coat - Internal) is a specially formulated skim coat that is ideally suited for internal application. Performing as a levelling or rectification coat for hollow blocks or other cementitious substrates, Tuf-Skim provides excellent workability and adhesion.

  Tuf-Skim (Finish Coat - Internal)

Tuf-Skim (Finish Coat - Internal) is a specially formulated skim coat that is ideally suited for internal application offering a final smooth finish. Performing as the finish coat after the Tuf-Skim (Base Coat - Internal) has been applied, it also serves to level or rectify the soffit of ceilings as well. Tuf-Skim is designed to provide excellent workability and adhesion.

  Tuf-Skim (Base Coat - External)

Tuf-Skim (Base Coat - External) is a specially formulated skim coat that is ideally suited for external application. Performing as a levelling or rectification coat for hollow blocks or other cementitious substrates, Tuf-Skim provides excellent workability and adhesion whilst providing the waterproofing that is required. It prevents moisture from coming through walls constructed from hollow blocks. Surfaces are also moisture free thus allowing painting applications to carry on without delays.

  Tuf-Skim (Finish Coat - External)

Tuf-Skim (Finish Coat - External) is a specially formulated skim coat that is ideally suited for External application offering a final smooth finish. Performing as the finish coat after the Tuf-Skim (Base Coat - External) has been applied, it also serves to protect substrate from moisture levels coming through. Tuf-Skim is designed to provide excellent workability and adhesion.

  Advantages of using Tuf-Skim

  1. Improved workability and productivity
  2. Extremely durable and resistant to weathering conditions
  3. Minimised wastages
  4. Will not go drummy
  5. No shrinkage
  6. Excellent adhesion
  7. Surfaces are dry with no moisture contents

  Preferred Surfaces
  Preparation of substrates:
Ensure substrate is clean and free of dust, dirt and oil. Any excess mortar on surface should be removed before trowelling.
  Mixing
Add approximately 6 litres of water directly into Tuf-Skim and mix with an electric drill fitted with a paddle mixer. Viscosity of mix may be adjusted by adding more water.
  Pot-Life
After mixing, unused material is good for about 2 - 3 hours depending on the climatic conditions and temperature.
  Application
Use either a steel trowel or Hopper Gun for applying Tuf-Skim onto surface.
